Outdoor Learning Programs
Spring 2026
FREE Weekly Outdoor STEM Adventures
This spring we’re offering a FREE weekly outdoor STEM class on Thursdays from 3:00–5:00 PM. These sessions are designed to give kids a chance to experience the kind of hands-on science learning that happens when curiosity meets the outdoors.
Each week students explore a different ecology or wildlife biology investigation on public lands around the Gorham, Windham, and Scarborough area. Projects may include studying forest ecosystems, observing wildlife habitats, collecting environmental data, or investigating how plants, animals, and landscapes interact in Maine’s unique ecology.
Classes are entirely outdoors and emphasize observation, exploration, and real scientific thinking.
Because locations and projects change week to week, signups will be posted each Sunday with full details including:
📍 The location for that week’s field investigation
🔬 The ecology project or scientific theme
👧 The recommended age range for that session
Signups will be shared on our email list and Facebook page, and spots are available on a first-come basis.
